The app

Start with something that feels like you.

Create a virtual pet from a photo or an in-app drawing, or begin with an official companion. Hatch it, care for it, spend focus time together, and follow its growth.

On iPhone, widgets and Live Activities give your companion a place on your screen. On Android, a floating pet can join you while you use other apps. Features depend on your device, system settings, and available access.

AI creation is a creative interpretation, so results vary. Keep your original photos and drawings, too.

PetPip's developer maintains this website. PetPip Editorial is the publishing name used for our product guides. Our blog is also published by PetPip; it is not an independent review of our own app.

  • Guides explain the steps, supported platforms, and limits of a feature. Screenshots and real results provide context; illustrative or AI-generated examples should be identified as such.
  • Comparisons distinguish our own product experience from other developers' descriptions. We link to official sources when we can verify them and explain when a comparison is based on published information rather than hands-on testing.
  • Publication and update dates describe the article's history. We update guidance when the product or supporting information changes.
  • Stories about memories and companionship are not veterinary or mental-health advice. PetPip is a creative companion, not a treatment or a replacement for a living pet.
